1Delivery

Working closely with our suppliers, we always aim to dispatch same day on all orders placed by 1pm. Most smaller items will arrive next day. Orders placed after 1pm Friday and over the weekend will be processed Monday for delivery from Tuesday.

Next day delivery only applies to mainland UK orders and excludes remote and offshore areas. Remote and offshore areas include; Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Wight, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Channel Islands, Alderney, Sark & Herm.

Some items such as heavy catering equipment and some crockery have an extended delivery time. These are normally delivered within 5 working days but can take between 7 and 10 days. We will contact you if we foresee any delays in delivery.

If your item is not in stock, we will immediately contact you to give you the option to cancel your order. We will only charge you for the items that are despatched to you.

2Costs & Timings

FREE delivery on orders £50 and over for mainland UK. £10 delivery to offshore and remote locations including Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Scottish Islands and Alderney.

£4.95 delivery on orders under £50, for mainland UK. £22.50 delivery to offshore and remote locations.

3Smaller items
Smaller items are usually delivered within 1 working day, Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm. Some couriers may deliver slightly earlier or later.
4Larger Item

Many of our larger deliveries are made on 18 ton vehicles (these are around 4m/13ft high and 11m/36ft long, approximately the size of a double-decker bus). If there are any delivery restrictions please let us know. Failed deliveries may incur abortive delivery charges.

Most large machinery, refrigeration and flat packed goods are delivered to the front door of ground floor locations only.

A book in call on the number you have supplied may be made on the day of delivery by some drivers delivering larger items. The delivery will be made regardless of whether the phone is answered or not.

5What to expect on delivery day?

Delivery times are Mon-Fri, 8am-6pm. We unfortunately cannot offer any other advance insight into your delivery time on the day.

When you receive your parcel you should check it for damages or missing parts straight away and contact us within 24 hours if you find a problem.

6Deliveries of Multiple Items

I’ve ordered several items at once. Will they all arrive together?

Your items may arrive on different days or from different couriers, but you won’t be charged for additional deliveries.

If you order items with various dispatch times, they will be delivered separately.

7Delivery Exceptions & Restrictions

If in the unfortunate case your goods have been damaged during delivery, you must report to Caterdeal within 24 hours. Goods that are missing from delivery must be reported to Caterdeal within 7 days from delivery on 0333 222 5966 or deals@caterdeal.co.uk .

All large machinery, refrigeration and flat packed goods are delivered to the front door of ground floor locations only.

Please note that we reserve the right not to deliver an order if we believe the address isn’t secure, for example to a communal postal address or PO box. If this affects an order you place, we'll notify you as soon as possible. Offshore/remote deliveries will usually be dispatched as soon as possible however the actual delivery time cannot be guaranteed and will vary depending on the delivery location.

Where delivery is delayed, cancelled or not accepted by the customer, Caterdeal reserves the right to charge for cancelled deliveries or for storage at 2% of the invoice value for the respective goods calculated monthly until a successful delivery can be made.

Delivery periods and dates are given in good faith, but are not the subject of any warranty or condition. Please advise us of any non-delivery within 10 days of date of invoice and confirm in writing to enable us to claim under the carrier’s terms.
